Wedding First Dance Song Ideas
We have curated a list of first dance songs that you may not have considered
The first dance of a married couple is a wedding tradition that still seems to be holding strong today. The tradition dates back to the 17th century in Europe. Back when there were levels of class and social standing, the guest of honour would lead with the first dance. The guest of honour was typically the person with the highest social standing. When looking into the symbolism of a first dance at a wedding it comes up with a symbol of the couple's unending love for one another. Having a first dance is not mandatory for the couple to be legally married, however it is a great way to start up a dance party if that's something you fancy. If you are choosing to have a first dance at your wedding then you need to pick a song to dance to. For some this is an easy task and for others this poses as a challenge. My advice is to find a song that has some form of sentiment to you as a couple. Whether it's a song that has been part of your relationship from the start, or the lyrics resemble your relationship make sure it speaks to you.
