Lauren and Tom
Lauren and Tom's wedding video at Morgan Creek Golf Course
My biggest personal wedding regret is not having a wedding video. This has influenced my personal pursuit into exploring the art of video. I fell in love with creating everlasting memories that move my subjects into feeling like they have the ability to travel back to that moment in time and remember how they felt. Not only can I do this with still photographs but also with cinema where you can hear the atmosphere and your loved ones voices.
Lauren decided last minute that she did not want to share the same regret and reached out looking for just video. We were so happy to have the opportunity to accommodate this for her and Tom. I arrived at the stunning ceremony site at Morgan Creek Golf Course in Surrey BC. The ceremony site is in a private garden that is surrounded by a water feature and blooming flowers. They hired a saxophone player to play for their ceremony. He played gracefully setting the atmosphere for everyone. Lauren and Tom shared their personal vows in front of their friends and family and sealed it with a kiss. After the ceremony the cocktail hour immediately started right there in the garden. There were delicious appetizers, drinks and lawn games to entertain the guests. Earlier in the day before I joined up with the couple they did a first look and got all of their portraits done except their family photos. This gave them the opportunity to spend more time with their guests and enjoy the moment. Once they completed their family photos they made their grand entrance and dinner was served. Lauren made home made jams as their wedding favours and I do have to say it was delicious! After dinner we snuck away for a few minutes for the golden hour and returned for speeches. Many funny and heart warming stories were shared. Lauren and Tom surprised everyone with their dancing skills since they took ballroom dancing lessons leading up to the wedding. Everyone joined them up on the dance floor and the party started.
