Fort Langley Golf Course Wedding| Allison and Jeff
Non traditional intimate wedding featuring a surprise at the Fort Langley Golf Course.
Alison and Jeff got married on a sunny October afternoon at the Fort Langley Golf Course. Traditions were pushed aside creating a beautiful gathering to begin their marriage in a way that was true to them and was most comfortable. For starters Alison opted a white dress for a whimsicle red one along with a black hooded sheer cape instead of a veil. There were no grand entrances or wedding marches down the aisle.
Their closest friends and family arrived and had their photo taken as couples and family groups. When the officiant arrived they all gathered together in the room and Alisons dad said a few words. The ceremony began with the standard vows. Jokingly Alison's niece mentioned that she would deliver the rings in a dinosaur costume. Since Alison was not keen on being the center of attention she was more than happy to have this potentially happen. When it was time her niece marched down the aisle with her own entrance in a T-Rex costume. I'm not going to lie being the Jurrasic Park fan I am, this was certainly a fun moment for me. Their rings were exchanged, first kiss was taken and their documents were signed and witnessed.
Everyone grabbed a beverage and the 4 of us snuck away on golf carts to take some photos around the golf course. I have photographed a few weddings on different golf courses and this was a fun perk of the Fort Langley Golf Course. Many do not allow photos on the actual course for safety which definitely makes sense. At the Fort Langley Golf Course the coordinator takes you out showing you some of the best spots and over sees for safety. October is a wonderful time to get married because your photo time is usually during the golden hour. When we were finished with photos we came back in time for dinner. They had the table romantically set with candles and red roses. There were game/ conversation cards around the table to help amuse their guests. Before dinner Alisons dad shared a speech, no microphone was needed for the intimate gathering since everyone sat around the same table. After a toast dinner was started and they all shared a meal together.
